Yeah I was hoping the debut on june 17 would have included some sort of demo, even if it was just like a 40 second audio clip like they did with the freqbox way back whenLivePsy wrote:Does anyone have any idea what this thing sounds like? I think that is a little important...

Wow! You are a stickler for details.
Re: MF 108M? flux
This looks like a great addition to the Moog line!
Re: MF 108M? flux
This may seem like a pretty noob question, but here I go...
The delay section does not actually refer to a delay (echo) effect does it? It's more referring to the degree of flange?

You are correct. Although this being a moog pedal who knows what the limitations will bejamezdd73 wrote:This may seem like a pretty noob question, but here I go...

Re: MF 108M? flux
An earlier post mentioned a max delay time of 50ms when in Chorus mode. In comparison, the MF-104z had a max delay time of around 1000ms. The use of high voltage BBDs in the 108M is perhaps for better signal quality. The 50ms max delay line time might seem to indicate fewer steps in the BBDs, but who knows how it is actually clocked. At any rate, they are probably fairly distinctly different effects. It would be interesting to compare the effects of various modulation sources on each delay circuit.ColorForm2113 wrote:You are correct. Hey EricK! And Toryjames, and anyone else reading...
Just FYI: I do still have the prototype chorus/flange and I _do_ intend to post a video of it. I have meant to for what is now literally almost the last year!! A little university will do that to ya. Anyway, with this very exciting recent product announcement, what better time to get off my rusty dusty and finish that project I started back in August of what is now, already last year?
Audio/video clips soon of prototype Moog. Sorry for delay. I am _really_ interested to compare them side by side now...

EricK wrote:Well, you know that Moog or Michelle has the schematics in the archives somewhere, and Ive been hoping that they would stumble upon some gem in the archives for some protype schem long since forgotten.
But considering that that unit was a prototype chorus flanger....I don't see why it wouldn't be something similar. Unfortunately the dude that owns that hasn't psoted any demos or taken any shots of the inside.
All we can do is wait and see.

Re: MF 108M? flux
Finally got mine here in the UK! It's been quite a wait!
I'm absolutely blown away. I'm a bassist who plays live Drum & Bass, Dubstep and Electronica and this is amazing. I'm pretty certain this has just replaced 4 other units on my board. As a classic Chorus or Flanger its thick and lush - but open up the delay and feedback and with octave and fuzz before it what you have are huge synth swells. Sync'd to midi clock, flanger on high speed, sample & hold = effective sequencer!
This really does it all.
I'm aiming to record some sound bites and video as part of my set up this week so watch this space.
