Re: Control RME Volume from LP?
Older LP OS did not have volume control as a midi CC. It was added somewhere along the lines. And yes the LP has a pot mapping feature so you can map the knobs to send any CC info over midi. I definitely have to read that part of the manual. I was actually wondering how to turn that feature off. In...

Re: Control RME Volume from LP?
Hmmmm.. do u have the latest OS? I've always been able to control the volume on RME with my volume knob on the LP... I never had to set it up or anyting, was just like that the first time I hooked the 2 up.

Very nice! was like a Slide Guitar/Sitar hybrid.
I've seen much cheaper, poor ones made out there... but the one in your vid looked and sounded beautiful.

Re: Just played a Roland Gaia at the store
What a POS... The whole thing sounded weak and cheap. I played one at the local music shop and I have to agree it does sound pretty empty. I had a Roland with a D-Beam, and I really couldn't find any use for it. It really is...uh, useless. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aIimFqrfpfw . Proved my poin...

Re: Voyager - first impressions
Ditto on the reverb! Subtle amounts enhance many Voyager sounds. So what's your view on the Slim Phatty and will you get one also? you know.. I started with a LP, and had a good oppurtunity to buy a Voyager RME at a good price... So I went ahead with it... I was skeptical at first, to see what exac...

Re: Moog Slim Phatty
If you play a 4 note chord, the units will play in order of the keys that are pressed. Unless you have magic fingers that all play the notes at the mathematically exact second, you should never have a problem with 2 units playing the same note at the same time. Even then it wouldn't be a problem as...

Re: Moog Lap Steel
I think Moog always has stood for sonic innovation, and this to me is just another example of that. Not many of us would've expected them to go down that road, yet I didn't expect them to make a guitar, or a Voyager XL either. I'm more curious about... how exactly they are putting their tech in a la...

http://i461.photobucket.com/albums/qq338/SuperStockDodge/APolyPhatty.jpg This is exactly what I had in mind... and what makes me excited about the SP... can't wait for that poly demo Amos mentioned. I don't understand how you can assign notes to each SP (cold be my lack of knowledge on the subject)...

Re: Moog Slim Phatty
if you mean getting the audio "merged" or mixed together, thats easy... there are a few ways you could do it... if you wanted you could put the audio out into the audio in's of each one, chaining the audio together and just using the last audio out at the end of the change... Or most like...

A four voice Poly Moog ? This is exactly what I had in mind... and what makes me excited about the SP... can't wait for that poly demo Amos mentioned. Didn`t you forget something? How will you merge the Voices? What do you mean? I don't see any issue with that at all. You can polychain them and use...

Re: LP + Voyager RME setup
I have the exact same setup.. got the LP first, and acquired the RME afterwards. Seriously it's a great setup.. if your connecting with midi, you can pretty much control most of the parameters on the RME with the LP like 1 to 1. Mostly everything works on connection... but even better, side by side ...

Re: MP-201 vs CV output mod?
I would be really curious about this as well... since I am interested in the CV output mod, but less interested in sending my LP over the CAD/US border..... Still no word back about wether or not Long and Mcquade in toronto would be able to do the mod yet like Amos was on the fence about before.... ...
